What we actually do
Brick by Brick Home Buyers LLC is a real estate investment company, not a brokerage. That distinction matters more than it sounds. An agent lists your property and looks for someone else to buy it, which is why a listing involves repairs, staging, showings, and a commission at the end — you are paying for the work of finding a buyer.
We are the buyer. When you send us a property, we are evaluating whether we want to own it ourselves, which is why we can look at houses that would struggle on the open market: a roof at the end of its life, storm or water damage, structural problems, a unit carrying a special assessment, or a house that has sat empty for years while the taxes and insurance kept coming due.
After closing, the repairs, the cleanout, and the paperwork are our problem rather than yours. That is the whole trade: you get certainty and speed, and we take on the condition of the property and the work it needs.
Who we work with
Most of the people who call us are dealing with something they did not plan for. Someone inherited a house four hundred miles from where they live, still full of a lifetime of belongings, with two siblings on the deed and nobody willing to fly down and manage a renovation. Someone fell behind on payments and the letters have started arriving. Someone took a job in another state with a start date that will not move.
Others are simply doing the arithmetic. Florida insurance premiums and property tax bills have climbed sharply, and a house that made sense to hold five years ago may not make sense to hold now.
